In this class you will learn how to wedge, center, trim and make basic wheel thrown pottery. As skill level increases you will be able to make more complicated work. You will work on the wheel for the first 5 weeks and glaze on the 6th week. Your pieces will be ready to pick up approximately 2 weeks after.

In this class you will learn how to construct clay vessels (mugs, vases, plates, platters, etc...), using slab, pinch, extruded and coiled pottery techniques. The first 5 weeks are spent making the work and the sixth week we will be glazing. Work will be ready for pick up approximately 2 weeks after that.

In this class students will learn all information they need to formulate their own clay or glazes. Students will develop their own glaze, clay, or slip using materials from their own backyard or the materials we have in the studio. No previous experience necessary.

In this 6 week class students will learn how to make and design work for a gas salt/soda firing. This process uses the atmosphere of the kiln to create unique effects. Class time will be focused on learning about making forms for the fire, slips and glazes for the salt/soda kiln and the firing process. Previous ceramics experience is recommended but not required.

In this 8-week class, students will produce ceramic pieces for firing in a wood kiln. They will become familiar with how the firing process works and various effects that can be achieved using a wood kiln.
There is no pre-requisite for this class.
Students are required to attend loading and unloading the kiln, as well as signing up for one or more firing shifts. The loading and firing will take place over a weekend @ the 7th class session. The 8th class will be the unloading of the kiln.

Two-Part Workshop
In this 2-part class, students will produce ceramic pieces for firing in a wood kiln. Students will make work for the wood firing using both the wheel and coil building processes. They will become familiar with how the firing process works and various effects that can be achieved using a wood kiln.
There is no pre-requisite for this class.
Students are required to attend loading and unloading the kiln, as well as signing up for one or more firing shifts. The loading and firing will take place over a weekend at a future date.

Saturday Workshop
In this workshop students will learn how to throw large scale pottery vessels using the wheel. The finished piece will be fired at a later date in our wood kiln.

This Class is a great opportunity to have fun with friends and loved ones on a FRIDAY NIGHT. You can get a feel for what it's all about to throw a pot on the wheel. Classes are 4 weeks long.
In this class series, students will work will textile(material/fabric), as their means of artistic expression. This is a 4-week session where we will cover Tapestry Weaving, Deconstructing & Reconstructing Fabric, Resist (dyeing techniques) and Fabric Painting.

Youth Clay Class
