One-day workshop
Raku firing workshop. Bring 4 bisque fired pieces, NO BOWLS OR PLATES. We will have crackle glazes only. You must supply any other Raku glaze, horsehair or combustibles for surface design. We start glazing at 9:00am and go until we finish firing! NOTE: Raku fired work is not food safe.

This is a single-meet class!
Children ages 8+ with at least 1 parent.
In this class, you and your child will share a collaborative experience where you can discover the pottery wheel together, learning how to mold and shape raw clay into your own handmade vessels! This class provides a relaxed and fun, step-by-step introduction to wheel throwing. Each individual will create one piece to keep which we glaze and fire for you. You will choose your glaze color, and your work will be ready for pick-up 3-4 weeks after the class date, or can be shipped to you for an additional fee.
Children ages 8+ with at least 1 parent.

Class is 6 weeks long.
In this class you will learn how to wedge, center, trim and make basic wheel thrown pottery. As skill level increases, you will be able to make more complicated work, based on individual student's goals. The class will include instructor demonstration, direct instruction, and hands-on guided independent practice.
Weeks 1-5 will be creating on the wheel & week 6 you will glaze your work.
Your pieces will be ready to pick up approximately 3-4 weeks after class ends.
Work must be picked up within 60 days of class end date.

Adult Wheel Throwing Classes
Class is 6 weeks long.
In this class you will learn how to construct clay vessels based on your individual choice, which may include; mugs, vases, plates, platters, etc. There will be demonstration and guided instruction in, rolling and using slabs, pinch, coil and sculptural pottery techniques. Projects will be student driven, supported by the instructor, and the class will include time to discuss with classmates, practice and compete pieces.
Weeks 1-5 are spent making & week 6 will be glazing.
Work will be ready for pick up approximately 3-4 weeks after class ends.

Wood /Soda Fire Ceramics Class

Advanced Wheel Throwing Techniques
Class is 8 weeks long plus firing weekend.
Students will produce ceramic pieces for firing in a wood kiln. They will become familiar with how the firing process works and various effects that can be achieved using a wood kiln.
There is no pre-requisite for this class. Students are required to attend loading and unloading the kiln, as well as signing up for 2 or more firing shifts. The structure of the session is: 7 weeks making, 1 week glazing, firing over the weekend.

Class is 6 weeks long.
This project-based hybrid class will advance skills for creating ceramic objects combining hand building techniques and wheel throwing, as chosen by the student. The class will be project-driven by each individual's goal. The creative process will include designing, sketching, planning, and process journaling. Techniques will be combined to meet the goals of each student's pieces. Individual's work will be guided and supported by the instructor for successful goal-based projects.
Previous clay experience is encouraged.

Adult Wheel/Hand-build Hybrid Class
Adult Wheel/Hand-build Hybrid Class
Class is 6 weeks long.
Wheel experience is recommended.
In this class students will make their own wheel thrown ceramic vessels while discussing and discovering the personal connections of community and communication through people gathering to dine. Discussions will focus on food influences in regards to how and what we eat, while creating functional pottery. The work will highlight the function of the vessel as a resting place for good food choices with an emphasis on presentation. This unique class experience will culminate with a potluck served on the artist's own creations.
