In this class you will learn how to wedge, center, trim and make basic wheel thrown pottery. As skill level increases you, will be able to make more complicated work. Weeks 1-5 will be on the wheel & week 6 you will glaze your work. Your pieces will be ready to pick up approximately 2 weeks after.

In this class students will learn how to make their own wheel thrown Pottery while discussing and discovering the personal connections of community and communication through people gathering to dine. Discussions will focus on food influences in regards to how and what we eat, while creating functional pottery. Highlighting the function of the vessel as a resting place for good food choices with an emphasis on presentation. This unique class experience will culminate with a potluck served on the artist's own creations.
No prerequisite, but experience is encouraged!

This class is available for students from ages 8 to adult!
During this 2-part class, students will have an opportunity to create an animal utilizing handbuilding pinch techniques. Week 1 students will make, and week 2 they will glaze. Finished pieces will be available for pick-up approximately 2 weeks later.

Classes are 7 weeks long.
Students will produce ceramic pieces for firing in a wood kiln. They will become familiar with how the firing process works and various effects that can be achieved using a wood kiln.
There is no pre-requisite for this class. Students are required to attend loading and unloading the kiln, as well as signing up for 2 or more firing shifts. The loading and firing will take place over a weekend. The 7th class will be loading of the kiln.

In this class, you will learn how to improve your skills and discover new glazing techniques; colorants and combinations. Wheel throwing and handbuilding can be utilized. Weeks 1-5 will be collaborative planning and work, and week 6 will be glazing. No pre-requisite for this class, but it is considered more advanced and previous clay experience is encouraged.
