This project-based hybrid class will advance skills for creating ceramic objects combining hand building techniques and wheel throwing, as chosen by the student. The class will be project-driven by each individual's goal. The creative process will include designing, sketching, planning, and process journaling. Techniques will be combined to meet the goals of each student's pieces. Individual's work will be guided and supported by the instructor for successful goal-based projects.
Previous clay experience is encouraged.

In this foundational class for sculpture, students will build skills in handbuilding. Students will learn various methods such as coil building, slab construction, and additive and subtractive techniques to create both abstract and representational sculptures of their own ideas and design.
You will glaze projects the final week of class.

In this class you will learn acrylic painting techniques and apply them to a wooden surface.
The instructor will step-by-step teach how to draw an insect, flower, or bird, and create realistic detail with acrylic paint. You will leave class with a completed painting on a basewood round as a hanging piece of art.

This is a 4-week session class.
Come make a simple flower to display in your window! You'll learn the basics of composition, cutting, soldering, framing and foiling to create a stained glass pieces of art. All supplies will be available and you'll have color options to choose from. Finished piece will measure about 6"square.

Single-meet 3-hour class.
Students will use glass to create a seascape using various types of fusable glass. Fused glass is an art process where glass is joined together by hi-temp firing in a kiln. Colors vary by artist choice. Your completed design will measure 11"x7".
After the class the designs are taken to the Instructor's studio where they will be fired and returned within 3 weeks to Lancaster Creative Factory for pick-up.
